If I....

I first read this poem last year, a group of students asked me to translate a poem for english literature class. And I try my best to make them understand every sentence written. however then i realized, reading poem is not only about to understand it, it also about to feel it.

And this poem in make me feel that I really understand its meaning, and feel its presence, in a way that i can't translate to anyone.

The Road not Taken by Robert Frost.

Two roads diverged in a yellow woods
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And look down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a word and I-
I took the one less travelled by
And that has made all the difference.

stadium runtuh

assalamualaikum,
sesungguhnya setiap kejadian Allah itu ada hikmahny. minggu lalu, Malaysia, khususnya Terengganu telah dikejutkan dgn satu insiden yg amat memalukan, stadium yg baru dirasmikan mei thn lalu telah 50% runtuh bumbungnya, ranap. memang memalukan, sebab yg runtuh itu bukan bumbung kandang kambing, atau reban ayam, tapi sebuah stdium yg berharga ratusan juta ringgit. ramai yg pergi tgk tempat kejadian, sehinggakan seperti satu tapak pesta pula, mereka yg bijak ambil peluang buka gerai, air, rojak buah, pisang goreng. etc. apa yg menarik lagi, ade juga rombongan dr luar negeri, sanggup dtg ke terengganu untuk turut sama melihat kesan runtuhan itu, hmm. menarik tu.. agakny tmpt tu bolehla diwartakan sebagai kwsn tarikan pelancong...
